Ahmedabad-based movie producer and Adjunct personnel at MICA Darshan Ashwin Trivedi’s introduction Gujarati include film Mrugtrushna (The Other Side of the River) has sacked ‘The Golden Butterfly Award’ and ‘Confirmation of Honor’ for Best Screenplay at the 33rd International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Iran.
The film, Mrugrtrushna, shot in Chhota Udepur, Polo Forest, and Varsoda Haveli, is about an aggregate long for four kids crossing the waterway. Talking about the film, Trivedi stated, “Illusion trilogy is a long concept, and Gujarat never had one. The film deals with illusory experiences, and the message is the power of a dream.” Trivedi took a shot at this film when he was a full-time Associate Professor in the Media and Entertainment Management Area at MICA.
“MICA is a place that allows you to explore yourself beyond your teaching and research you do. I got immense support from MICA management to work on the film along with my teaching”, he said. Speaking about the award, he said, “Iran is the ultimate destination for children’s content across the world. Iran has given filmmakers like Abbas Kiarostami, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, and Majid Majidi. I have grown up watching some of the most compelling cinema from these stalwarts in Iran. I feel honored to get this recognition by the country regarded as the hub of children’s film.”
Trivedi is as of now chipping away at the second film of the set of three named ‘Yayavar,’ co-composed by Raam Mori. Other than Trivedi, the authors who added to the film were exchange scholars Ankit Gor, Gaurang Aanand, and Script Doctors Arvind Sivakumaran and Vijay K Patel. The film is created by Mrinal Kapadia and Devdatt Kapadia and co-delivered by Burzin Unwalla, Nishith Mehta, and Darshan Trivedi.
