He added that another three transfers would arrive at Gujarat by street on Wednesday through unique vehicles. “It would include 94,500 vials for Vadodara, 93,500 for Surat, and 77,000 for Rajkot-based storage facilities,” he said. “About 20,000 centres have been identified for the vaccination in Gujarat.”
The state government had before declared that 4.33 lakh medical services laborers – directly from specialists to attendants to paramedical staff and those conveyed at different government and private clinics and those on the field obligation for Covid-19 – would be the first to get the vaccine.
“PM Narendra Modi will interact with the healthcare workers getting the vaccine at 287 centres on January 16. Special arrangements have been made for the same at civil hospitals in Ahmedabad and Rajkot,” said the deputy CM. “We will be reviewing the implementation and also send the feedback for the later phases. The vaccines have been provided to the state free of cost by the Central government.”
