BCCI Planning Mega Player Auction Next Year, Ahmedabad to Join as ninth IPL Team : Report

The BCCI has supposedly start arrangements for the following IPL season as it has casually told the eight establishments of its arrangement to hold a super players closeout in 2021 preceding the fourteenth release of the T20 competition begins.

The greatest news coming out however is that an anonymous corporate monster has communicated unmistakable fascination for purchasing an establishment which will in all likeliness be based out of Ahmedabad.

In case of a ninth group joining the IPL overlay, the sale will get important.

In any case, a proper correspondence in such manner is yet to be made.

“The BCCI has told us to be prepared for an auction in a couple of months,” The New Indian Express quoted a franchise official as saying. “Though it is not official, that they have asked us to be ready means they will go ahead as planned. Moreover, with a new team coming in, it makes sense to have an auction now rather than deferring it by a year.”

As a feature of the closeout, the BCCI may proceed with player maintenance strategy and Right to Match card to permit the groups to keep their headliners as their image esteem is worked around them.

“The retention policy should continue even if a new team comes in because at this stage, it won’t be wise to have all players in the auction pool. Teams will have to compromise on brand value which is built on their star players,” the English daily quoted another franchise official as saying.

There were at that point plans of a sale for the following year yet with IPL 2020 deferred and completing on November 10, there were proposals that it be discarded since there will be only a six-month hole between the thirteenth and fourteenth season.

Be that as it may, BCCI has supposedly accepted an approach this and will hold the bartering in January or mid-February to permit the eight groups to design in like manner.
